Abstract

Photosensitive compositions, employing 2-(p-dimethylanimobensylidene) amino-5-nitro-pyridene as a photosensitizer, are useful as photoresists. The photosensitive compositions are prepared by mixing 2-(pbdimethyl aminobensylidene) aminog5gnitrobpyridene with polyvinyl cinnamate and its analogs. Performance of the photosensitive compositions thus prepared is equal in performance to photosensitive compositions in which Michler's Ketone, a commercially available sensitizer, is used as the photosensitizer. The photosensitizer 2b(pbdimethylaminobensylidene) amino-5-nitro-pyridene can be characterized by the structural formula shown.
