Abstract

The forms feeding movement in printers is controlled by a modulo counter the modulo of which corresponds to the maximum number of lines in the respective form. The counter is advanced by a sensing device for detecting the number of lines during a line feeding or line skipping operation. A stop device is effective to interrupt the feeding movement when the preset number of lines is reached during a line feeding or line skipping operation. Also provided is a load key which, depending on the respective form being processed, allows the entry of the corresponding maximum number of lines, modulo, into the counter. Such entry of the maximum number of lines is also controllable by the program.
