The central station has a pulse generator G. The interval between the pulses is nt. The delay t is introduced by one element of a delay line composed of n-1 elements. Commutator C permits selection of pulses appearing at the different taps 1...n of the delay line. The pulses are sent into an And which also receives the modulation from microphone M. The output of this And delivers a series of amplitude modulated pulses to line L2.

The receiving stations R1...Rn are connected in parallel between lines L1 and L2. Line L1 has a delay line of delay t between each receiving station tap.

Before each receiving station, an And allows selection of only the station which corresponds to the number selected by the commutator C. For example, the And of station 2 receives simultaneously the pulse from L1 and from L2 (delay t).
