Paper Feed

The apparatus permits a strip or sheet to be printed on either side. This paper feed allows feeding from a single stacker, no matter which side is selected for the printing.

The strips or sheets are differentiated by two colors and are in the stacker. The first color is fed directly via track 1. The second color is fed by track 2. Rollers G1, G2 and G3 are continuously rotating. For a first color feeding, electromagnet M2 is energized. The strip is moved forward to roller G1 by roller G7. Then M2 is de-energized. For a second color feeding, electromagnet M3 is energized. The strip is moved forward by roller G6 and placed in a waiting position between G4 and G5.

When feeding is to occur, electromagnet M1 is energized. The strip is moved forward by G5. Then M1 is de-energized. L1 checks feed controlling electromagnet M3 in such a way there is always a strip in waiting position between G4 and G5. The lamp and phototransistor TSRT checks the strip or sheet color.
