Vibrating Pestle

This pestle is used in a vibrating tool. The pestle is made of stainless steel and, for a one inch diameter, it has the indicated dimensions. The curved surface of the pestle has a #4 polish on 304 stainless steel. The shank of the pestle is inserted into an Ideal Electric Marker to apply a vibratory motion to the pestle.

This combination permits faster and more efficient grinding of material in a mortar. It is very effective when using fine meshed sieves, particularly when working in the confines of a dry box.
