Abstract

A single-shot SS and inverter I are used to prevent generation of the Limit Peak Speed signal sooner than a predetermined time after the occurrence of Print Trigger. Thus, a Print Terminate signal cannot be generated sooner, thus preventing starting a new line, so that the maximum number of lines per minute is limited.

Print Terminate Logic

A single-shot SS and inverter I are used to prevent generation of the Limit Peak Speed signal sooner than a predetermined time after the occurrence of Print Trigger. Thus, a Print Terminate signal cannot be generated sooner, thus preventing starting a new line, so that the maximum number of lines per minute is limited.

Trigger TR1 is turned on by Home Trigger gated with UCB Home Gate. The on output of TR1 is Anded in And 1 with Print Trigger and PSS Trigger to turn on latch LT. The latter is reset by the fall of Print Trigger.

If a second Home Trigger pulse occurs before latch LT is reset by the fall of Print Trigger, the on output of TR1 is applied to turn on TR2 through And 2 with the on output of latch LT. Such generates the Uncomparable Character Output which is used to terminate the print operation.
