Feeding Apparatus For Continuous And Cut Forms

The apparatus feeds either continuous paper forms or individual card forms past a printing station of a printer.

Endless belts 1, 2, 3, preferably made of MYLAR*, are provided with either rows of grippers 4 or feed pins 5. These are disposed transversely on the belts. They engage, respectively, cut forms 6 or non-conventional continuous forms 7, having holes 8 which extend transversely on them.

Belts 1, 2, 3 are fed by tractors 9 in the same manner as the conventional paper forms. The apparatus handles various widths of the continuous forms without adjusting or changing the position of tractors 9. If it is desired to feed conventional forms, the carrier belts are simply removed and the conventional forms are threaded directly onto the tractors. * MYLAR is a trademark of E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co.
