Coaxial Line Connector

Cable 1 is fixed to coaxial cable connector 2. This has a pair of spring leaf blades 3 and 4 extending for wiping contact with a similar pair of blades in either a cable end or a socket mounting.

Blade 3 is formed with an inner cylinder 5 clamped on central conductor 6. Braided shield 7 has bulging sleeve 8 on it. The inner end 9 of blade 4 is slipped between the sleeve and the shield to be clamped into contact with the shield, when the outer shell 10 is pinched to form ridges.
