Palladium Plating Bath

This is a plating bath for the deposition of mirror bright palladium. The bath is very stable. It can be stored for appreciable time without any detrimental effects. The cathode efficiency approaches 100%. The deposits are of the utmost brightness, unstressed and very adherent.

The bath is made from a palladium salt and an ammonium salt. An inert salt is added for conductivity. A typical formulation is: Palladium Chloride 10 pH = 7- 10 Ammonium Chloride 20 Temp. 25 degrees C - 65 degrees C Sodium Chloride 100 Current Density 15-45 ma/in. H(2)O to 1000 nl.
