Abstract

This device compares an input V with a plurality of stored binary numbers S1 ... Sn. The input V is applied to a plurality of sense lines. The sense lines are coupled to a plurality of word lines by a metalized data processing card, not shown, sandwiched between the sense lines and word lines.

Card Capacity Correlator

This device compares an input V with a plurality of stored binary numbers S1
... Sn. The input V is applied to a plurality of sense lines. The sense lines are coupled to a plurality of word lines by a metalized data processing card, not shown, sandwiched between the sense lines and word lines.

Coupling between the sense lines and word lines is destroyed by punching a hole in the metalized card. Those capacitors shown coupling the sense lines and word lines correspond to locations on the card where no holes are punched. Each component of the input V is applied to a different word line. The voltage appearing on each sense line is directly proportional to the sum of the input components coupled to the respective sense line.
