Abstract

In this camera, the usual concertina bellows is replaced by a bellows consisting of four opaque plastic sheets 1. Sheets 1 are supported at one end on four spring-loaded rollers 2 grouped in a square within camera housing 3. The longitudinal edges of sheets 1 are formed so that each can be joined to its neighbor by a sliding clasp fastener 5.

Camera

In this camera, the usual concertina bellows is replaced by a bellows consisting of four opaque plastic sheets 1. Sheets 1 are supported at one end on four spring-loaded rollers 2 grouped in a square within camera housing 3. The longitudinal edges of sheets 1 are formed so that each can be joined to its neighbor by a sliding clasp fastener 5.

The leading edges of sheets 1 are attached to lens mounting 4 so that, as the lens is moved away from housing 3, sheets 1 are drawn off rollers 2. Four sliding clasp fasteners 5 are mounted on the housing adjacent rollers 2 and act to zip the longitudinal edges of sheets 1 together as they are drawn off rollers 2. The extended sheets 1 form a light-tight rectangular tube extending from housing 1 to lens mounting 4.
