Keyboard Data Entry Buffer and Display System

The system is for keyboard entry of data into storage and for supplying a visual display of the data stored.

A stored character is written into storage as a single bit in the proper position. A keyboard entry 10 is stored in coded form in an input buffer register 11. A counter 12 counts the bit positions of the storage unit 13. When counter 12 and register 11 indicate coincidence, a bit is written into that bit position of unit 13 on line 14.

In addition, display disk 15, bears characters in positions corresponding to the bit positions of the storage unit 13. Disk 15 is rotated in synchronism with unit
13. Strobe light 16 is flashed by the coincidence signal, thus lighting the character selected by the keyboard entry to provide a visual display.
