Abstract

Multilayer printed circuit board 10 has two external signal planes 11 and 12 and two internal voltage and ground distribution planes 13 and 14. Repair pin 15 comprises a central self-tapping threaded section 16 integral with one end 17 having a square cross-section and the other end 18 having a round cross-section. The repair pin is screwed into hole 19 in the multilayer board and makes connection with either or both of the internal planes.
