Attached to shafts 1 and 2 by set screws 5 and 10 are, respectively, arbor 12 and arbor 6 which has elongated portion 7 and enlarged portion 8. Portion 8 and arbor 12 have a number of slots 9 and 13 and are arranged to face each other at a predetermined distance so that surfaces 14 and 15 do not touch. Concentrically mounted in a freely movable arrangement with respect to portion 8 is annular member 17. This has radial slot 18 that accommodates ear 16 extending from coupling spring 3. Positioned internally of sleeve member 4 is spring retaining collar 19 which has annular groove 20. Groove 20 accommodates set screw 21 which is retained in a threaded aperture of sleeve 4. Collar 19 also has aperture 22 which receives ear 23 of spring 3. Around the right-hand portion of spring 3 is clutch booster spring 24 having ear 25. This engages slot 18 and ear 26 which engages stud 27 that projects inside sleeve 4. Spring 24, collar 25 and sleeve 4, together with set screw 21, permit adjustment or clutch tension. Slidably mounted on arbor portion 7 is slipper ring 28. This has two diametrically located protuberances such as protuberance 29 and internally located channel 30 which engages stud 31 that projects from portion 7 of arbor 6.

This arrangement permits ring 28 to be moved axially along portion 7 but insures a fixed angular relationship between ring 28 and portion 7 as well as drive shaft 1. Ring 28 has an annular gr...
