Superconducting Transmission Line

This superconducting circuitry is in the form of a transmission line. It has an electrically effective width substantially wider than its physical width.

The transmission line is formed by two conductors 13 and 14. Each has a plurality of overlapping layers. Conductor 13 has four layers 13A, 13B, 13C and 13D. Conductor 14 has five layers designated 14A, 14B, 14C, 14D and 14E. The layers are interleaved between each other, but are insulated from each other by electrical insulating material 31.
