Record Card

The record card is for mounting films. Both faces of the card present no extra thickness and the film is readily inserted or removed without special equipment.

The card is of a three ply construction, 1, 2 and 3 with an aperture 4. The two outer plies 1 and 2 have circular apertures 5 and 7. These are equal in size and smaller than a circular aperture 6 in the middle ply. Thus, a groove 8 is formed, which is adapted to retain an inserted circular film piece. A slit 9 in outer ply 1 only intersects the periphery of the aperture. The film is inserted through the slit and is either pushed into or pulled out of groove 8 by a screwlike movement.

The aperture can also be rectangular.
