Abstract

The apparatus reproduces images on a print receiving surface from a master copy. A cathode ray tube 11 including electron beam forming and beam focusing elements 14, 15, 16 and 18 has its electron beam controlled by deflecting plates 24. The beam moves over a photoconductive plate 19 on which a magnetic or electrostatic image is formed by light reflected from a master copy 29.

Apparatus for Reproducing Images

The apparatus reproduces images on a print receiving surface from a master copy. A cathode ray tube 11 including electron beam forming and beam focusing elements 14, 15, 16 and 18 has its electron beam controlled by deflecting plates
24. The beam moves over a photoconductive plate 19 on which a magnetic or electrostatic image is formed by light reflected from a master copy 29.

A coil 22 is mounted on the tube 11 for developing a potential field in the vicinity of the plate 19. This forms an electron mirror 20 such as to cause the electron beam 17 moving toward plate 19 to change directions and move toward the photosensitive screen 21 of tube 11. Electron lens 23 and deflecting plates 26 control the point at which the beam impinges on 21 adjacent to which is mounted a recording media 27.
