Connecting Device

The adjustable clevis connects a threaded rod-end with another linkage member.

An internally threaded, inner sleeve 10 with collar 11 is threadably attached to rod-end 12. Yoke 13, having slot 14, is wrapped about the sleeve to form concentric members 15 and 16. Thus, the slot coincides with the collar to prevent axial, relative movement between the yoke and the sleeve.

Two arms 17, with pin 18, connect the yoke with another member. Tabs 19, on the end of the sleeve, are axially engageable with tool 20 for rotation to vary the effective length of the rod. Fingers 21 resiliently bear against the inner sleeve to restrain free rotation between the yoke and the sleeve.
