Wire Wrap Splice

Stripped ends of two wires which are to be spliced are wrapped about a length of electrical conductive material 1. The wire wraps are made by conventional wire wrap techniques.

After the wires have been wrapped on material 1 the splice is twisted as shown so that the wire at the twist absorbs a portion of the strain. After the wire is wrapped and the twist is applied, a sleeve 2 is placed over the splice to provide electrical insulation.
