Abstract

This describes a pneumatic device for placing a conductor 8 winding on a miniature multi-aperture core 10. An air valve 12 is used to alternate the direction of air through the chamber 14. A vacuum applied to the lower section 15 creates a pressure differential that causes valve A to open and valve B to close.

Multipath Miniature Core Winder

This describes a pneumatic device for placing a conductor 8 winding on a miniature multi-aperture core 10. An air valve 12 is used to alternate the direction of air through the chamber 14. A vacuum applied to the lower section 15 creates a pressure differential that causes valve A to open and valve B to close.

The wire 8 is subsequently drawn through aperture 16 and grasped by fingers F1. The wire 8 is held until the direction of the air is reversed by the air valve 12 which creates a vacuum in the upper section 20. Valve A closes and valve B opens, permitting the wire 8 to be drawn up through aperture 22. The wire is grasped by fingers F2 until the direction of air is reversed again and the next cycle is ready to begin.
