Power System

plies load devices 10, 11 and 12 with power from sources 13 and 14. The windings 13A and 14A represent the secondaries of transformers.

Non linear asymmetric elements such as Zener diodes 15, 16 and 17 are connected in series with the respective load devices 10, 11 and 12. The diodes are selected so that the reverse breakdown voltage drop is equal to the difference between the nominal load voltage and the voltage of the high voltage source 13. The low voltage source 14 is connected so that current from it flows through the diodes in the low or forward resistance direction. The source 13 is connected so that current flows through the diodes in the reverse or high resistance direction. Thus, the voltage across the loads 10, 11 and 12 is substantially the same irrespective of which source is supplying the energy.

One side of the load may be connected to the desired power supply via hubs 18, 19 and 20 and any desired controls such as relay driver 21 or brushes 22, 23, contact roll 24 and circuit breaker 25.
