Tension Spring Terminal

A tension spring 1 is provided for stiffening one leaf 4 of a double leaf terminal 2 to inhibit deformation during normal handling.

The tension spring is made from a piece of spring steel, cut and formed to follow the contours of the floating leaf. A tab 3 on one side of the spring is bent to serve as a clip for holding the spring onto the leaf. When the spring is slipped onto the leaf as shown, return of the leaf to its proper position after each operation is insured.
