Self Locking Terminal

This is a screw type, self locking terminal for interconnecting wires of the same or various sizes.

The device is cylindrical in shape, having a threaded mounting stud 10 at the bottom. The upper end is drilled and tapped to receive a locking screw 11. Wire holes 12 and side holes 13 are drilled to converge with the locking screw hole such that wires 14 fed into the wire holes just meet with the threads of screw 11.

Individual wires 14 inserted in the appropriately sized holes 12 are locked in place by the action of screw 11. The latter forces the wires outwardly into the side holes 13 and its threads bite into the wires as it is forced down.
