Digital to Analog Converter

A digital to analog converter is constructed utilizing electroluminescentphotoconductive materials.

A plurality of different electroluminescent strips of sizes representative of different digital values is placed on a conductive medium. By suitable switching, AC voltage is supplied selectively to the different electroluminescent strips to light the strips singly or in combination. The photoconductive material senses the total light from the strips and produces an analog output equivalent to the digital input.
