Abstract

A device for feeding cards to the platen of a printer is provided by feeding the cards from a stack by means not shown to feed rolls 2 and 3 that carry the card to insert rolls 4 and 5. These rolls place the card in a card holder 6 and a pusher 7 insures that it is settled against the lip 8. After a predetermined number of carriage return and line space operations, the card is grasped by feed rolls 4 and 9 and fed by guides 10 to eject rolls 11 and 12 to a stacker 14 that stacks the cards. The rolls 2, 3, 4, 5 and 9 are driven by a common drive 15. The card carrier is fed upward by the rotation of the platen 16.
