Card Reader Reading Board

This is a punched card reading device comprising a board preferably prepared by printed circuit techniques. The board has 960 mesa-like spots arranged to accommodate each of the card hole positions and 12 mesa-like row commons to accommodate each of the card rows and adapted for electrical connection with peripheral equipment.

A reading brush assembly having 960 brush units is depressed against the card after it has been placed in reading position. Each hole in the card allows related brushes to contact both spot and row common, thereby functioning as a switch to complete electrical circuits to effect a card reading operation.
