Electrical Connector

The electrical connector 10 includes a section 11 crimped about the insulation of a lead 12, a section 13 crimped about the bare wires of the lead 12 and a deformed tubular contact section 14. The contact section 14 is adapted to slip over prongtype contact elements, not shown.

Deforming the tubular section 14 provides several lines of contact with the contact elements. Further, to improve the connection between the contact section 14 and the associated contact element, a portion 15 of the section 14 is bent away from and a portion 16 is bent toward the longitudinal axis to provide high pressure points at 17 and 18, respectively.
