Current Monitoring Arrangement

This arrangement provides a method of monitoring alternating current loads to detect relatively small changes in the load current, and is particularly applicable for detecting burned out heater elements in parallel-connected vacuum tube heater circuits.

By employing a core material having a relatively square hysteresis loop, and adjusting the bias source so that the flux created by the load current is near the knee of the curve, relatively small changes in the load current will cause relatively large changes in the output voltage supplied to a suitable indicating device.
