The current state of the art uses a two-piece tool which includes a de-bending shaft with a palm button, as well as a product-specific form factor fixture.

General Description

The disclosed method is similar to a common pair of pliers it has a pair of pivoted jaws used for unbending the installed Bend-O-Matic bracket tabs. The upper jaw is designed with a specific diameter pin. The lower jaw is designed with a slot which engages the installed bracket and allows the installed bracket tab to be pushed back through it.
