The implementation of a Compound Parabolic Concentrators array into an OLED matrix includes a critical alignment step. Each CPC acting like a light extractor needs to be precisely aligned with each OLED of the matrix. This step might be performed by looking for the maximum emitted intensity while moving the CPC array over OLED matrix. However, this remains a cumbersome operation. The invention allows precise pre-positioning. This will significantly reduce the alignment step duration

·          On top the active matrix circuitry a photo-resist is spin coated, exposed to UV and developed to obtain the CPC blocking parts (Figure 1). The resist thickness is > 5µm. By choosing the appropriate resist and controlling the process parameters, one can give to the blocking parts a shape like Figure 2. The slope  is such as not to impede CPC to come into contact with the emitting area.

·          Then, the OLED multilayer is deposited the same way as usual.

·          A matching index glue is applied all over the matrix.

·          Finally the CPC array is placed over and by slightly pressing it, it goes down in contact to the emitting area (Figure 3).
