Filtration Scheme for a Disk

       Described is the provision of a discoidal air mounted for
rotation on a disk file hub of the vented type which completely seals
the path to the vented  By this means the main bearing need not be
sealed the spindle air flow must now go through the main filter
entering the disk space.  Space is saved as the disk and filter
assembly are combined.

      The figure shows a cross section through a typical disk with
seven stacked disks 1 separated by six vented 2, forming an annular
chamber 3 mounted on the main 4.  An actuator assembly 5 on the
left-hand side is in part.  The topside of the circular disk clamp 6
has fashioned to support a disk and filter substrate 7 such wire
