Merged Graphics And Text Data Via a Simple Programming Interface

Programming interfaces are disclosed which provide
program applications the capability to display Systems Application
Architecture Presentation Manager format graphics data and Systems
Application Architecture Dialog Manager format text panels
simultaneously.  The programming interfaces are collectively known as
the Graphics/Text Merge Facility.

The Graphics/Text Merge Facility provides an interface to
specify the name of a text panel to display.  The text panel name is
saved for later use.

The Graphics/Text Merge Facility provides an interface to
specify the name of a graphics file to display.  The interface may be
called multiple times to specify multiple graphics files to be
displayed with a text panel.  The graphics file name(s) are saved for
later use.

The Graphics/Text Merge Facility provides an interface to
display graphics and text data.  The text panel name which was
previously saved is retrieved and used to display a text panel via
Systems Application Architecture Dialog Manager interfaces.

The Systems Application Architecture Dialog Manager provides an
interface to invoke application code to interface to the Systems
Application Architecture Presentation Manager.  The application code
is called a User Control Procedure.  For a User Control Procedure to
be invoked, it must be specified in the panel definition of a text
panel to be displaye...
