Abstract

As follows: 1) The Communications Manager received a Clear Indication packet from the DCE containing a DCE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code. 2) The Communications Manager received a Restart Indication packet from the DCE containing a DCE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code. 3) The Communications Manager sent a Reset Request packet to the DCE with a DTE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code. 4) The Communications Manager sent a Clear Request packet to the DCE with a DTE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code. 5) The Communications Manager sent a Restart Request packet to the DCE with a DTE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code. 6) The Communication Manager sent a Restart Request packet to the DCE and the DCE failed to respond (CCITT T20 timer expired).

Generic Alerts for X.25 Packet Layer Control Level Errors

       As follows:
1)   The Communications Manager received a Clear Indication packet
from the DCE containing a DCE-originated cause code and a diagnostic
code.
2)   The Communications Manager received a Restart Indication packet
from the DCE containing a DCE-originated cause code and a diagnostic
code.
3)   The Communications Manager sent a Reset Request packet to the
DCE with a DTE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code.
4)   The Communications Manager sent a Clear Request packet to the
DCE with a DTE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code.
5)   The Communications Manager sent a Restart Request packet to the
DCE with a DTE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code.
6)   The Communication Manager sent a Restart Request packet to the
DCE and the DCE failed to respond (CCITT T20 timer expired).
7)   The Communication Manager sent a Reset Request packet to the DCE
and the DCE failed to respond (CCITT T22 timer expired).
8)   The Communication Manager sent a Call Request packet to the DCE
and the DCE failed to respond (CCITT T21 timer expired).
9)   The Communication Manager sent a Clear Request packet to the DCE
and the DCE failed to respond (CCITT T23 timer expired).
10)  The Communications Manager received a Diagnostic packet from the
DCE, indicating that the Communications Manager violated the X.25
protocol.
11)  The Communications Manager received a Reset Indication packet
from the DCE containing a DCE-originated cause code and a diagnostic
code.

Communications Manager for DTE Operation
The OS/2 Extended Edition Version 1.2 Communication Manager (CM)
provides an X.25 subsystem that allows users to write non-SNA X.25
applications that communicate through a packet-switched data network
(PSDN). Additionally, all of the CM's SNA applications (e.g., 3270
Emulation, 5250 Work Station Feature, file transfer) and APIs (e.g.,
APPC, EHLLAPI, SRPI, LU A) may be configured to communicate through
an X.25 PSDN using the Qualified Logical Link Control (QLLC) protocol
and the X.25 subsystem.
1)   The Communications Manager sent a Clear Indication packet to the
DTE containing a DCE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code.
2)   The Communications Manager sent a Reset Indication packet to the
DTE containing a DCE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code.
3)   The Communications Manager sent a Restart Indication packet to
the DTE containing a DCE-originated cause code and a diagnostic code.
4)   The Communications Manager received a Restart Request packet
from the DTE containing a DTE-originated cause code and a non-zero
diagnostic code.
5)   The Communication Manager sent a Restart Indication packet to
the DTE and the DTE failed to respond (CCITT T20 timer expired).
6)   The Communication Manager sent a Reset Indication packet to the
DTE and the DTE failed to respond (CCITT T22 timer exp...
