Abstract

The present 5250 emulation configuration systems allow the user to reconfigure the interpretation of display attributes sent from the host as they are displayed on the Personal Computer (PC). However, this reconfiguration is very difficult. The user must understand what the meaning of the hexadecimal values are for both the host codes and the PC (Fig. 1). This will require much trial and error on the user's part to experiment with what values he wants to achieve the desired display attributes on the PC.
