Abstract

Disclosed is a tilt mechanism which enables the flat display panel to keep stationary and to tilt smoothly in the range from 0 to 45 degrees with a simple mechanism and a few simple parts. It is possible to apply it to many kinds of displays (plasma, mono LCD, color LCD, etc.), and to a weight range up to 5 Kg.

Flat Display Tilt Mechanism

Disclosed is a tilt mechanism which enables the flat
display panel to keep stationary and to tilt smoothly in the range
from 0 to 45 degrees with a simple mechanism and a few simple parts.
It is possible to apply it to many kinds of displays (plasma, mono
LCD, color LCD, etc.), and to a weight range up to 5 Kg.

The mechanism consists of a slider with an elongated hole, a
stopper for tilt, an adjustment screw, and pivot axis.  They are
assembled easily in 3 steps (Fig. 1).

Fig. 2 shows the movement of the tilt mechanism which ranges
from 0 to 45 degrees.  Tilt angle is decided by the length of the
elongated hole on the slider in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2.  It is possible to
adjust the tilt force with the adjustment screw.
