Radial Disk Clamp

       Illustrated is a tooling which clamps rigid-magnetic
media to test stand spindles by use of radial force.

      The tooling (shown in Figs. 1 and 2) clamps the disk 2 by
radially extending segmented fingers 1 until they come into contact
with the inner diameter of disk 2.  The segmented fingers 1 are
machined with a 2-degree angle which entraps the disk 2 to the chuck
registration surface 3.  To remove the disk 2 the fingers 1 are
retracted allowing the disk 2 to be freely picked or placed on the
chuck surface 3.
