Connector Removal Technique

       Disclosed is a device and technique that permits rapid
removal of connector receptacle bodies from electronic mother boards.

      The device is located at the end of the connector receptacle
body on the longitudinal axis of the body with the device blade 1
positioned to be inserted under the body. A drive force is applied to
the device drive block 2 and the device is driven under the connector
receptacle body, shearing the connector pins and removing the body
from the mother board.  Side channels 3 of the device self center the
device by captivating the connector body which precludes damage to
adjacent electrical components.  Device blade 1 is configured to
shear a minimum number of connector contacts simultaneously to
minimize the force required to drive the device.
