Local Area Network (LAN) Manager is a program which
assists the user in problem determination and error recovery for a
local area network (network of token rings and/or PCnet buses).  This
program operates with the NetView* host program product in providing
management support for the LAN network at a central site.

A network operator at NetView host can issue commands to LAN
Manager and receive responses back from these commands.  This is done
by using the Service Point Command Services (SPCS) facility of
NetView.  The operator types the CLIST name at a terminal, the
commands and instructions in that CLIST run, which, in turn, will
issue a SPCS command. LAN Manager will receive the commands, parse
the commands, execute that commands, and return a response.  The
response will be displayed to the NetView operator.  The main
functions are listed as follows:
Query adapter:  this command will query an adapter's current
profile.  It also can find the adapter on all managed LAN segments.
The adapters with duplicate addresses information will be displayed
if more than one adapter having the same address is on more than one
LAN segment in the managed network.
Remove adapter:  this command will display the adapter's
profile first.  Then it will remove the adapter from the network if
the operator confirms the action.  The response will be either pass
or fail.
Query bridge profile:  this command will query a bridge's
current profile.  The performance data from the bridge is included in
this profile.
Link bridge:  this command will link the LAN Manager to the
bridge which the user specified.  The bridge name should be already
defined.  The response will be either pass or a reason code of the
failure.
Unlink bridge:  this command will unlink the LAN Manager to the
bridge which is alre...
