Installation of Database Manager On Any Hard File

A program is disclosed that allows the OS/2* Extended
Edition Database Manager to be installed on any hard file.

In the release 1.0 and release 1.1 versions of OS/2 Extended
Edition Database Manager, the user was forced to install the code on
the C: drive. This led to DASD problems in that the OS/2 Extended
Edition base operating system had the same requirement, so the C:
drive was being overloaded.

Release 1.2 of Database Manager supports installation to ANY
valid hard file between C and Z. All config.sys updates are taken
care of by the install code, so the user is not affected by what
drive he chooses.  This approach is much more flexible than the
previous release of the product and aids the user in managing his
DASD usage. This is key in terms of achieving DASD granularity in
that the user can keep one particular drive from being overloaded.

Both regular install and custom install functions support valid
drives C-Z as the installation target.
