Create Parametric Search Indices for Newly Copied Documents

This article describes a method for allowing enterprise
users to create the parametric search indices for the newly copied
document.

An enterprise user who wants to copy an existing document may
also want to retain the parametric search indices information of the
original document.  The user may wish to have the capability of
indicating whether or not the parametric search indices information
is to be copied along with the document.  No mechanism prior to this
disclosure exists in the Document Interchange Architecture to provide
this function.

This article provides a mechanism whereby an enterprise user
can specify in the COPY function whether the parametric search
indices information is to be copied along or not. This function is
provided by defining a new operand in the COPY command.
