Abstract

Disclosed is a unit for cleaning a connector. Each time the cleaning unit is inserted into the connector, the drive roller feeds new cleaning paper from a supply reel at small constant pitch automatically (typical pitch is about 1 mm) and it cleans up contamination and wipes the connector contact of the card edge-type connector effectively. Connector Cleaning Unit

Disclosed is a unit for cleaning a connector.  Each time
the cleaning unit is inserted into the connector, the drive roller
feeds new cleaning paper from a supply reel at small constant pitch
automatically (typical pitch is about 1 mm) and it cleans up
contamination and wipes the connector contact of the card edge-type
connector effectively.  This unit is widely applicable to clean all
card edge-type connectors.

The connector cleaning unit includes the drive roller (1) which
has a one-way clutch mechanism, cleaning paper which is made of extra
fine fiber, the supply reel (3) which supplies new cleaning paper, a
cleaning plate (4) which is inserted into the connector, and a block
(5) which links the drive roller to feed the cleaning paper, as shown
in Figs. 2 and 3.
