Versatile Bit Adapter for Torque Measurement

       Disclosed is a versatile bit adapter for torque
measurement, which can be used with various bits of torque tools.

      In the figure, an adapter 4 has six dents 5 which are shaped to
fit six different bits of torque tools, such as a screwdriver 1
having a bit 2.  Both ends of the adapter 4 are tapered for easy
attachment of the adapter 4 to a torque measurement device 3.

      In operation, a screw 6 of the torque measurement device 3 is
loosened and the adapter 4 is placed on the device 3 with a desired
dent 5 turned up.  After tightening the screw 6 to fix the adapter 4,
the bit 2 of the torque tool 1 is fitted in the dent 5.  The
torque is measured by turning the handle of the torque tool 1, and
its measurement value is displayed on an indicator panel 7.
