Management of the Cardfile Focal Window

       Described is a method that allows an application to
manage the focal window area provided to it by the Cardfile style of
list.

      How does an application manage the focal window provided to it
by the Cardfile style of list?  The focal window is the data window
that will appear within the top card of the cardfile. The contents of
this window are managed by the application that owns the cardfile.

      A message interface to the list cardfile style is provided that
notifies the application when its time to repaint the focal window.
The cardfile style of list will provide messages by which the
application will be notified when there is a change that could affect
the focal window (the data area of the top card).  The application
will be sent a LM_DS_FOCALFILL message when the focal window has to
be repainted (this message will be sent if the Cardfile is to be
repainted or if a different item is being brought to the top).  A
LM_DS_FOCALRESIZE message will be sent to the application when it is
time to resize the focal window.  The initial position and size of
the focal window is passed to the list, at creation time, in a
structure called CARDFILEDATA (this structure is part of the
LISTCTLDATA).

      The application now has a simple message interface for managing
the cardfile focal window.  The application does not have to concern
itself with managing the operation and painting of the cardfile.  It
