Disclosed is a tool intended to assist software developers in the creation and retrieval of easy-to-use software components that are reusable and adaptable. Software development with the tool consists of retrieving components and/or invocations (call statements) for components via a panel-driven user interface. Constructed components can be fully operational modules that may have been customized based on the user's specifications or incomplete templates requiring the user to complete them with additional information. All components may be retrieved independently or as part of a component composition scenario.

       Disclosed is a tool intended to assist software

components that are reusable and adaptable.  Software development
with the tool consists of retrieving components and/or invocations
(call statements) for components via a panel-driven user interface.
Constructed components can be fully operational modules that may have
been customized based on the user's specifications or incomplete
templates requiring the user to complete them with additional
information.  All components may be retrieved independently or as
part of a component composition scenario.

      The initial version demonstrates an architectural framework for
creating, classifying, documenting and retrieving software
components.  It is intended to provide support for a large variety of
components, including requirements, design, code, test,
documentation, etc.  It is also intended to provide facilities to
enhance the development of such components, including component
requirements definition and component development models.

      The reusable software components are also designed to be
independently selectable (if a dependency between components exists,
it is completely documented). Programmers can combine components to
create a much larger program.  All components are organized within a
component classification scheme.  The classification scheme provides
a framework for the inclusion and retrieval of all reusable
