Panel Information Extractor

Disclosed is a program which automatically generates
VMPROLOG rules from analyzing user interface source code, which forms
the knowledge base of a knowledge based test case generator.

The application that is being analyzed consists of thousands of
user interface panels.  These panels contain many different data
fields and can interact with one another in many different ways.  The
proposed invention will analyze all data fields and other parts of
the panels and generate all VMPROLOG rules necessary for the
knowledge base.  This amounts to thousands of rules which are
generated. Therefore, this alleviates a tremendous burden from an
individual who may have to do this manually.  The time to do this
generation versus the time it would take to do this manually is a
ratio of 50/1.

The proposed invention consists of three main parts.  A user
interface exists for the user to define what panels are to be
analyzed.  The main portion of the invention is the processing
portion which analyzes the code and generates the VMPROLOG rules.
There is also a portion which allows this process to be conducted
overnight without using the interface.  The user would set some
variables and the program would run on a disconnected VM logon.
