Label to Head Assist Device

Disclosed is a device which increases reliability of
bar-code label placement by the applicator head of a commercially
available printer/ applicator.

The device shown in the figure is a bracket mounted on the
printer's deck that contains a 1/8" aluminum tube. The tube is
supplied with regulated air, which provides a stream of air directed
at the leading edge of the applicator head. This air guides the label
onto the vacuum head. This insures proper positioning of the label on
the head and reliable application of the label onto the product.
