Cathode Ray Tube Bi-Level Typeface

       A cathode ray tube (CRT) typeface utilizing bi-level
pixels is described.  The concept is based on good typographic design
under restrictions of the CRT technology.

      The CRT bi-level typeface design utilizes pixels that can be
placed at fixed addressable locations.  The typeface is of a fixed
pitch, whereby each character box is eight-by-sixteen or
nine-by-sixteen pixels.

      The drawing illustrates the relative pixel locations within
each character, thereby defining the typeface design for the
eight-by-sixteen and the nine-by-sixteen pixels.
