Improved Screening Mask

      A one-piece screening mask as shown in the drawings and
described herein achieves printing in the active area perimeter
feature with the same control and quality as the inner area features,
a result not obtainable with prior-art masks.

      FIG. 1 shows a one-piece screening mask 1, which has an active
screening area 3 with an encircling area 5.  As seen in FIG. 2, which
is a sectional view taken along the line A-A in FIG. 1, the area 5
enclosing the active area of the mask is etched to about one-half the
thickness of the mask, from the active side.

      The flexibility of the mask is enhanced and provides uniform
mask contact pressure over the entire active screening area.
