Strain Relief for Insulation Displacement Connectors

Adequate strain relief for insulation displacement connectors
used in "daisy chain" or in-line applications is provided by the
arrangement show in the drawing.

IDC connectors 1 and 1' are interposed between a base housing 3
and an IDC actuator cap 5 to thus connect the two cables 7 and 9.
Cable 7 is provided with strain relief by the captured re-entrant
loop between blocks 13 and 15. Strain relief is provided for cable 9
by the re-entrant loops 17 and 19, captured by elements 5 and 13.
