Light Spin Light

A light fixture which indicates when an input/output device is
in operation is described.

Referring to the figure a number of lamps (1) are connected
whereas each lamp would consecutively illuminate and cut off.  This
consecutive illumination and cut off would give the appearance of a
circling light.  This light is viewed through a lens (2) mounted to a
host (3).  Wires connecting the lamps lead to a connector (4) which
in turn is plugged into a device (hardfile, floppy disk) (not shown)
or power cord.  When the device is in operation (spinning), the
circling light gives a visual and pictoral representation that the
device is in operation warning the operator not to move or shutdown
power.

The above arrangement would be applicable to any device that
stores or transmits data.
